East Ithaca Preschool (EIP) is a nonprofit parent cooperative. Our school was founded in 1924 and was one of the first parent-organized and operated cooperative nursery schools in the country.
Our children enjoy a lively mix of free play and structured activities under the guidance of Mrs. Suzanne Foote, who has over 20 years of teaching experience.We welcome children 2.5 - 5 years old. Students may attend Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 12 PM, two to five days a week. Children under 3 are restricted to Tuesday and Thursday only, but older children may attend any days of the week.

Our Calendar is loosely based on that of the Ithaca City School District.
Tuition
and Fees (2008-2009)
We charge a nonrefundable $20 application fee, plus a deposit equal
to one month's tuition. Parents commit to pay tuition for the full
term, unless their child withdraws during the two week grace period.
Tuition is paid in monthly installments, on the first day of each
month.
2 days a week - $82/month
3 days a week - $123/month
4 days a week - $164/month
5 days a week - $205/month
In addition to our tuition and fees, parents are required to assist the teacher in the classroom on a regular schedule, attend a monthly meeting, and take part in the work of maintaining our cooperative and school.
